Hi,
In August 2008 we moved to The medieval village of Valon is located on the edge of the Carladez, North Aveyron, (Midi-Pyrénées), France, to get away from the hectic life we led in London.
We found a lovely little house in this picturesque village, with three good size barns and 50 acres of natural unspoilt forest. There is 12th Century Château sits in the centre of the village.
Having converted one of the barns into a gallery which opened Spring 2009, we have just finished an environmentally friendly gîte, this will accommodate 4 people comfortably
Surrounded by sweet chestnut forest for as far as the eye can see, the landscape is wild and beautiful.
We have a good supply of wild fruit our orchard supplies us with black cherries, apples, pears, walnuts, blackberries, sweet chestnuts, sloes, mushrooms etc.
we now need some ideas of how we can use this produce and not let it go to waste, if you like the outdoors then this is a great location and i am sure we can create a great holiday for you.
