Hiya,
I thought I should recommend this really lovely pub/restruant in godshill on the isle of wight because it's one of my favourite places to eat. When and where is can it serves all local produce from Island farms and growers and they also like to buy home-growers surplus veg so they helping out the little guys. The food in there is always absolutely fantastic from there own made faggots to there freshly baked bread. Plus they have Old Rosie Cider on tap
. If your ever on the Island I thoroughly recommend that you go it's right in godshills old village and about 2 yardsd from the nearest bus stop plus they have there own parking. They pub has a lovely little garden area and they are always very accomadating to children (i have three of the little rascals and they love it there too) with a wonderful childrens menu too.
Its staff are always very welcoming and extremely freindly and four legged friends are welcome too.

That is true, 4 to 5 pints I find Ok but anymore than that then I can get a bit iffy on me feet!!!
-
hee hee i think even the heartiest of cider drinkers would lose a degree of equlibrium after 5 pints of rosie

I see that you live on the IOW Pixie, what a lovely place, only been once but must go back again soon, had a nice meal in the crab and lobster in Bembridge whilst over there.

I love Ventnor Botanical gardens, and always make a point of going for a calming walk round there when I'm in IOW!

it is a fab place to live next to the west country and I actually loiuve in Ventnor argueably the nicest part of the island it's not hugely tourist there is the downs, a brewery
and most houses have rather decent size gardens. We island folk are truley blessed

You really are. I'd love to move down there. I've got family down there, but we don't get there as often as I'd like. This summer I'll be going to Ventnor, I'm determined to see a wall lizard! Also, do you know of any good mushrooming places on the island?

I'LL POST MORE MUSHROOM SITES LATER IN THE YEAR ALTHOUGH I HAVE A SECRET PUFF BALL FEILD AND I'M SELFISH SO I'LL BE KEEPING THAT ONE TO MYSELF I HAVEN'T EVEN TOLD MY VERY CLOSE FRIENDS ABOUT IT I JUST DROP THEM ROUND A FEW BALLS WHEN THERE ARE ALOT.
THIS YEARS MISSION IS THE FIND A SULPHUR POLYPORE (CHICKEN OF THE WOODS)OR A CAULIFLOWER MUSHROOM.Gaffa tape, like the FORCE has a dark side and a light side and it's power holds the universe together!

You're quite right to keep your puffball field secret, I do the same with mine!
I'll probably give Brighstone forest a go, or Parkhurst. Or both. Thank you! We usually end up on Culver Down at some point, so I'll have a look at the ground instead of the scenery this time! The hurrier I go the behinder I get
