Said I would publish pics of our place, can't find what I was looking for so this will have to do for now! The bottom one is of the view down onto the house from the woods behind us.

I make a tomato based pasta sauce, which I would like to try storing in jars as a standby. Do I need to seal the jars in a particular manner, or can I just do it the same way as my chutney? I only need it to keep for up to three months. Thanks!

Almond Slices

Good tray bake. I make them in a swiss roll tin or similar tray, and double the quantity I have here. I also make lots of pastry to have in freezer, so I can whip up a batch for the kids to take to school midweek. The dearest ingredient I find is the ground almonds, so I try to buy in bulk.

I have some cooking apples and fairly ripe tomatoes I'd like to have a go at making chutney, but I've no mustard seeds, nor will I be able to get them..what can I use as a substitute? I make jam/jellies all the time, but I kind of wing it alot! With success, luckily..so any advice?

Squirrel with Peanut Butter dipping sauce. From Everything Wild Game Cookbook, by Karen Eagle. American Recipe, so amounts may need to be adjusted
