My small sheltered Kent Garden has also produced quite a lot of ripe green figs. They appear to be like the green figs one gets in jars in good delis, but how can I tell if they are an edible variety? I have plenty of chutney recipes and could bottle them, but does anyone know of better uses for green figs? thank you

I have a very sheltered small garden in Kent and and a single grapevine which has produced quite a lot of white grapes (called muller Thurgou, or something similar.) they are a sweet seeded variety but I do not want to make wine, what else could I use them for? I would consider making sultanas if I knew how, but would prefer other ways to use fresh grapes? thanks in anticipation

does anyone know where I can buy salt-marsh lamb, especially chops and neck fillet? We do not have the storage space to take half a lamb. We need to buy only a couple of kilos at a time.

A tasty onion free pasta dish. Excellent with crusty bread and green salad. As an alternative, replace pasta with gnocci
