so i have another question for you all... my chicken has become aggresive towards my family, not pecking but biting, she has bruised my little boys legs and arms when he has just been walking past her, and my other kids are scared of her, the farmer we got her from suggested that we pick her up and hold her to show her she's not boss but that's not working, i certainly don't want to start hitting her but am at a loss of what to do, also i've never seen aggresion towards her mate violet whom she is very fond of.

I am helping to run a local transition network food group information day. Does anyone know where I am likely to get a good leaflet on eating seasonally and or a leaflet on reducing food miles?

Hi all! New to this forum stuff so please be gentle :) I have a limping chicken at the moment. Only noticed this morning so did the usual check for bumblefoot... cleaned the foot and no visible signs of an in jury, lice, mites or any other abnormal sight. She is eating and drinking fine, however there is visible swelling and the ankle seems bruised and swollen. If this is a sprain or even worse a break, is there anything I can do other than keep an eye on her? have made her a seperate bed area and cushioned the pen with plenty of straw to soften underfoot. She did have a scare last week and flew into the hedge so she could have damaged her foot then? Thanks :)
